More than 60 Iron County volunteers will attend the banquet, featuring an Italian dinner. The event begins at 12:30 p.m.
Beth Scoth will make introductions before the meal. Award presentations, fun and games will follow the meal, according to a news release.
Two locals will be honored at the banquet: Pearl Cornetto, of Gile and Apache Junction, Ariz., the Iron County Food Pantry and Treasure Room’s senior volunteer; and Tyler Vogel, of Montreal, the pantry’s youngest volunteer.
“Both volunteers are faithful in their volunteer hours and are a blessing to the organization,” said Dorothy Walesewicz, a pantry spokesperson.
Vogel, a seventh grader at Hurley K-12 School, has finished two years of volunteering.
