Joann Adamczak-Havenor

MARENISCO, Mich. - Joann Adamczak-Havenor, 71, a longtime resident of Marenisco, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Nov. 7, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1942, in Ashland, Wis., the daughter of Aili and Joe Adamczak.

On Nov. 1, 1958, Joann was united in marriage to Leslie Dale Havenor in Bessemer.

She loved family gatherings and helped with the upbringing of her grandchildren. Joann was an excellent cook, found pleasure in online card games, enjoyed going to the casino and faithfully watched "Days of Our Lives."

Joann is survived by her husband, Leslie, of 56 years; five children, Christine (Tom) Keast, Debbie Havenor, Leslie Joseph Havenor (Jody Mazes), Lynette Havenor (Gary Auerswald) and LeeRoy Havenor; seven grandchildren, Bobbi, Tessa, JJ, Corey, Chaz, Chelsea and Sophie; seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Haley, Grayce, Carissa, Navarrah, Jaici and Haiti; a brother, Gary (Kay) Adams; a sister, Carolee (Kurt) Oesperreich; several nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Jerome Paul Raymond.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield, with the Rev. Bill Jacobson, pastor of All Saints Lutheran Church in Wakefield, officiating.

Lunch will be served at the Marenisco Town Hall following the memorial service.
