SINGER/SONGWRITER Lydia Patritto, formerly of Kimball, Wis., now of Nashville, will perform original songs at Theatre North on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Patritto, formerly of Kimball, Wis., graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in music business management in 2012. Since then, she has been "writing a lot" and working at the Musician's Union in Nashville, working with session and live performance musicians.

In addition to writing and working, Patritto also manages a band called The Modern Royals in Nashville.

"Everything has been really exciting for me," Patritto said.

The concert on Saturday is at 7 p.m., and features all original songso. She said she decided to do the concert "on a whim," and wanted to play her newest songs.

"I'm really excited to play all my new stuff," Patritto said. "I've been writing a lot and will be playing my originals instead of covers."

The songs will be performed on guitar and piano, and Patritto called her style "singer/songwriter country/pop/alternative."

After the show, there will be a meet-and-greet with Patritto.

Tickets can be purchased at Hitt's Fine Furniture in Ironwood, Sharon's Coffee Company in Hurley and at the door.

"I hope a lot of people will come out," Patritto said. "People will be learning a lot about song writing, and I can't wait for them to hear all the new stuff."
