P.J. RICKARD, an Ironwood postal carrier, tends to the mail at his truck parked at the corner of Francis and Lowell streets in Ironwood Monday afternoon at 2:30. The temperature was around negative 20. Rickard began his day mostly on foot while using his truck as a moveable base of operations, at 7:45 a.m. He expected to be done around 3:30 p.m.
