WAKEFIELD – Twenty-nine people competed in the SISU snowshoe race at the Milje's Ski Trails Saturday morning.
A 5k race and 10k race were available.
"This has been an amazing event," said one of the trail owners, Carrie Miljevich, "We had a great turnout."
Corey Stivve of Ashland heard about the race from a co-worker.
It was his first time competing in a snowshoe race.
"It was fabulous," Susanne Brown of Bessmer said after completing the 5k.
Bob Sejbl, of Ironwood, won the 10k race.
He has competed in at least 6 other snowshoe races.
