WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Terry M. Hoag, 51, of Albany Street, Ironwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield.

He was born Dec. 23, 1962, in Dearborn, son of the late Lloyd and Vanetta (Goddard) Hoag, and was employed as a roadside mechanic in Nevada for many years. He moved to Ironwood in 2001, where he was self-employed as a diesel and auto mechanic.

Terry loved fast cars, four-wheelers and spending time with family.

Surviving are his life partner, Lynne Sweeney; four sons, Terry Jr. “T.J.,” at home, Jonathan Sweeney (Meriecedes) and Robert Sweeney (Chrystin), both of Ironwood, and Joseph Sweeney (Rose), Harlen, Ind .; a daughter, Amber Lynne Sweeney (Kate), Ely, Minn .; five grandchildren, Chloe Irene, Isaiah, Amelia, Dustin and Nicholas; and a sister, Sandra Christenson, Redmond, Utah.

Per Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were with McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
