'Rumbo' cast delivers laugh inducing performance

IRONWOOD - 23 young thespians lit up the stage this weekend at the Historic Ironwood Theatre's production of "Rumbo," directed by Mary Hansen and Gene Goss, a collaborative effort between the theatre and the Carnegie Library. The actors were supported by a seven member backstage team.

The rock star ensemble brought the parody to life and riffed it into a wildly entertaining nine act play that had theatre patrons howling with laughter.

Of the cast, Hansen said, "I am so proud of them. They all pulled together, and every day they came up with something new."

Cast members hail from the Ironwood and Hurley school districts, as well as local home schools.

The plot of the story revolves around a perfume chemist, commercials, actors and pageant winners, and the military.

You'd have to see it to believe it.
