John 'Jack' Patrick Michael McKay

DELAVAN, Wis. - John "Jack" Patrick Michael McKay, 82, of Delavan, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

John was born March 12, 1931, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of Belmont McKay and Victoria Deitz.

He married Dora Cartwright on Jan. 15, 1955, in Portsmouth, Va.

John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He received his bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich.

John worked for General Electric as an engineer, and with Arnold Engineering Corporation for more than 23 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dora; two sons, Michael McKay, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Charles McKay, of Lake Geneva; two daughters, the Rev. Michele (Gary) Sisk, of Darien, and Teresa McKay, of Milton; three brothers, Ray (Lee) McKay, of Florida, Jim McKay, of South St. Paul, Minn., and Mike (Eve) McKay, of Colorado Springs, Colo .; one sister, Victoria, of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 21, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan. The Rev. James Scheurman officiated.

Burial with full military rites followed in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery.

A luncheon followed at Harvest Point Church in Delavan.
