M. Therese 'Terry' Bartlett

CHISAGO CITY, Minn. - M. Therese "Terry" Bartlett, 86, of Van Buskirk Road, Erwin Township, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Parmly Life Pointes Nursing Home in Chisago City.

She was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Hudson, Mass., daughter of the late Henry and Corrine (Scott) Mathon. Terry graduated from the Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Mass., with the class of 1945. She attended the St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in Lowell, Mass., graduating in 1948. Terry was employed as a Registered Nurse at Bon Secours Hospital in Metheun, Mass., as well as at various other hospitals and clinics until retirement. One of her last positions was with Dr. Santini at the Grand View Surgical Center in Ironwood.

Terry was an active member of the Carmelites. She made many rosaries that were given to different missions. She was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed reading religious and medical material. Terry also loved her plants.

On June 21, 1963, she was married to Charles G. Bartlett in London, Ky. Charles survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Dottie (Lonnie) Gee, of Marine St. Croix, Minn .; and a son, Chris (JoAnne) Bartlett, of Minocqua, Wis .; four grandchildren, Christian and Zachary Gee, and Tonya and Joshua Bartlett; two sisters, Jacqueline Gaumont, of Lawrence, Mass., and Diane (John) Atspins, of Metheun, Mass .; a brother-in-law, John Bartlett, of Gilmanton, N.H .; and a sister-in-law, Tina Dolloff, of South Carolina. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Beside her parents, Terry was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Eugene Gaumont, Fred Dolloff and James Bartlett; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Bartlett and JoAnne Bartlett; and a niece, Pauline Berube.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood. Rev. Robb Jurkovich will be the celebrant. Terry's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 26, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home, 304 S. Sophie Street, Bessemer, where liturgical prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friends and relatives will also be received on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the St. Joseph's Family Room at Our Lady of Peace. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the church hall. Spring burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer.
