HANCOCK, Mich. — Richard Dembowski, 38, of Dollar Bay, passed away on March 21, 2014, in Hancock.
Rick was born on Sept. 3, 1975, in Wakefield, the son of Fritzi Barron, Bessemer, and Richard Dembowski Sr., Wakefield. He attended Washington Elementary School and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer. After high school, he enrolled in the corrections program at Gogebic Community College and worked as a corrections officer for a total of 15 years.
He loved watching football, riding his four-wheeler and spending time with his many friends and neighbors.
Rick is survived by his parents; his sister, Lisa (Scott) Brown, Hurley, Wis.; a niece, Kaitlyn Tollstam; a nephew, Tyler Brown; an uncle, Gordon (Betty) Dembowski, Oak Creek, Wis.; two stepsisters, Beverly (Kiko) Davis, Rosemount, Minn., and Janet (Angelo) Aimone, Montreal, Wis.; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents; and his stepfather, Bill Barron.
Cremation has taken place.
A gathering to celebrate Rick’s life may be scheduled at a later date.
