Robert F. Youngberg Sr.

LAKE PANASOFFKEE, Fla. - Robert F. Youngberg Sr., 80, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Robert was born in Winegar, Wis., to the late Doris and George Youngberg. He attended Luther L. Wright High School, and after graduating from high school in 1951 in Ironwood, Mich., he joined the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at Mac Dill Air Force Base in Florida. This is where he met and married Gloria L. Stanley. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Ironwood. There he raised five sons. He was employed at White Pine Copper Co. until his retirement.

Robert Sr. is survived by sons, Robert Jr. (Diane McFarland), Wakefield, Mich., David, Lake Panasoffee, and Brian (Karie Kirkland) Youngberg, Juneau, Wis .; grandchildren, Robert D. (Christina) Youngberg, Bessemer, Mich., Amber (Shane) Plemons, Wakefield, Natalie (Markis) Bush, West Bend, Wis., Gregory (Jackie) Robl, West Bend, Wis., Ryan-Marie (Ryan) Kruse, Port Washington, Wis., Kevin Youngberg Jr., West Bend, Casey Youngberg, Juneau, Jessica Youngberg, Ramsay, Mich., Christina (Matthew) Snyder, Bessemer, and David Jr., Bessemer; one brother, Gary (Carolyn) Riverview, Fla .; and one sister, Georgine (Gary) Kahle, Traverse City, Mich .; six great-granddaughters, Hailey, Hannah and Alexis Plemons, Paige Youngberg, Palmer Robl and Kaylynn Anderson; seven great-grandsons, Donovan, Damien and Devin Snyder, Payton Youngberg, Trevor Youngberg, Dominic Parknowitz and Carson Kruse; daughters-in-law, Susan (Rajek) Robl, West Bend, and Susan (McFarland) Youngberg, Mequon, Wis .; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, golf and fishing partner, Julia, Lake Panasoffkee.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; sons, Kenneth Robl and Kevin Youngberg Sr .; and daughter-in-law, Tina Youngberg.

Bob was a kindhearted person, a friend to all. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa, brother and uncle, and is very much missed.

A gathering of life was held at the KOA RV Resort in Lake Panasoffkee, where he retired.

Cremation has taken place.

Inurnment (along with his wife, Gloria) will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, this summer. A celebration of life will take place at that time.
