Library group holds book signing, vintage-style tea party

MARENSICO - The Friends of the Marenisco library held a book signing featuring former resident Barbara Bolton at the Marenisco Township Hall Sunday afternoon.

Bolton signed copies of her first novel, "Raina's Witness," fictional novel about the truths of human trafficking.

"I lived here for a good part of my life," she said, "A lot of my friends are here and they invited me to do the signing. I'm very grateful."

After the book signing, Bolton read an excerpt from her novel and a list of statistics on human trafficking, plus tips on how to spot the issue in the community.

The book signing event was followed by a vintage-style fashion show and tea party.

The event was held as fundraiser for the children's section at the library.

Refreshments, such as tea, appetizers and desserts, were served. About 40 people attended the event.
