Rosemarie Negrini

HURLEY, Wis. - Rosemarie Negrini, 88, of Ironwood, Mich., died peacefully Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley, with her daughter-in-law, Linda, by her side.

The former Rosemarie Hagen was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Saxon, daughter of the late Einar and Rose (Tutan) Hagen, attended school there, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Hurley in 1943. Prior to her marriage, she was briefly employed at Woolworth's and Ben Franklin, and in her later years, assisted with evening visitations at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood and Engstrom Funeral Home in Hurley.

Rosemarie enjoyed knitting, cooking, ceramic painting and her neighborhood card club.

On Sept. 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Anton "Tony" Negrini at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley by the late Rev. Peter Meyers. Anton preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1989.

Surviving are two sons, Anton Jr. "Sonny" (Linda), Maple Grove, Minn., and Bryan (Barbara), Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Andi) Negrini, St. Michael, Minn., Tyler Negrini, Maple Grove, Alex and Erica Negrini, Pittsburgh, Paul (Christie) Jacquart, White Fish Bay, and Toni Jacquart, Milwaukee; four great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Alec Jacquart, Lydia Negrini and Jozie Sheperd; three sisters, Agnes Schmitt, Milwaukee, Jean (Laurie) Kivisto, Manistique, Mich., and Pat (Don) Juhl, Brookfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Rosemarie was predeceased by her daughter, Judy Jerow; brother, Harvey Hagen; and sisters, Edna Hagen, Jeanette Pickril, Dorothy Vuchetich, Lois Jaglinski and Oddney Anderson.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Private graveside services for family will be held Friday, July 11, in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich officiating.

Rite of Committal and interment will follow.
