WAUSAU, Wis. — Carol A. Johnson, 68, of Bessemer, Mich., died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Wausau.

She was born Feb. 17, 1945, in Wakefield, Mich., daughter of the late Roman and Dorothy (Pero) Czajkowski.

Carol had worked as a licensed practical nurse at Grand View and Divine Infant hospitals. She then worked for many years as a teachers’ aide for Bessemer Area Schools.

On Aug. 31, 1968, she was united in marriage with Lloyd V. Johnson at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer by the Rev. Chester Franczek. Lloyd preceded her in death on July 20, 1998.

Carol was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer.

She is survived by three sons, Patrick, Timothy and Michael, all of Bessemer; a brother, Peter (Barbara) Czajkowski, of Dallas; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Dan.

Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer. Rev. Antony Lukka will officiate.

Arrangements are by Range Funeral Service and Crematory, Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home of Bessemer.
