Beverly J. Teale

GREEN Bay, Wis. - Beverly J. Teale, 81, of Mercer, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Parkview Nursing Home in Green Bay, with her family by her side.

She was born Dec. 28, 1932, in Milwaukee, to the late William and Helen (Lane) Busse. At age 4, Beverly moved to Springstead. She attended a one-room school, Springstead School, for first and second grade. (Little did she know that a fifth grader named Bruce would many years later become her husband.)

Beverly moved back to Milwaukee in 1939, but continued spending her summer months in Springstead with family. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1950. She attended Milwaukee Institute of Technology for practical nursing and graduated in 1953. She worked at St. Luke's Hospital as a licensed practical nurse from 1953 to 1962. In 1962, she moved to Deerfield Beach, Fla., and worked at North Broward Hospital in Pompano Beach. Beverly moved back to Milwaukee in 1964.

In October 1967, Beverly married Bruce Teale at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Skokie, Ill. They were blessed with two children, John and Nancy.

Beverly was an extremely talented seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed cooking, baking, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, ceramics, playing Scrabble, cribbage and cards, attending computer classes, and watching her children's sporting events.

She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mercer, where she served as a church treasurer and participated in the AAL ladies group. She also served on the Mercer School Board.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; two children, John (Judy) and Nancy (Kevin); and five beautiful grandchildren, Bruce, Savannah, Tyler, Anna and Brooklyn.

A celebration of her life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Mercer on Thursday, July 31. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the church service at 11 a.m.

Committal and interment will follow in the Mercer Cemetery.

Luncheon will be served in the church fellowship hall immediately upon return from the cemetery.
