Harold Lloyd Roberts

BRUCE CROSSING, Mich. - Harold Lloyd Roberts, 80, of Bruce Crossing died unexpectedly on Aug. 30, 2014, in Highland.

Harold was born Jan. 16, 1934, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Everett and Clara Mae Hampton Roberts.

He resided in Bruce Crossing since coming from North Chicago, Ill., in 1972.

Harold graduated from Central High in Louisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was self-employed as a logger and dairy farmer, worked for the Laborers Union in Iron Mountain, and the U.S. Postal Service in Glencoe, Ill.

Surviving are wife, Donna; daughter, Jamie (John) Stevenson; grandchildren, Julia and James Stevenson, all residing in Highland ,; stepmother, Eleanor Roberts, Evanston, Ill .; sister, Lucretia Fels of Louisville; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives; and special pets, Brody and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, John; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Roberts.

Visitation will be at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (Paynesville) on Sept. 6, 2014, in Bruce Crossing at 10 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m.
