MASS CITY, Mich. — Mrs. Evelyn M. Plutchak, 92, of Mass City, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2014.
Evelyn was active, when able, with many community organizations and with her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ontonagon.
Surviving are her children, Tom (Sharon) Plutchak, of Rochester, N.Y., Janet Behrens, of Grand Rapids, Jerry (Karen) Plutchak, of Greenland: daughter-in-law, Cheryl Plutchak, of St. Louis, Mo .: 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles; son, Peter; sister, Louise Hill; and brother, Robert Johnson.
Per her wishes, cremation has occurred.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 107 E. River St., in Ontonagon. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland. Her family will receive visitors Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of one’s choice.
