Ted Gouza

RHINELANDER, Wis. — Ted Gouza, 85, a 48-year resident of Land O’ Lakes, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. 

Ted was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Wakefield, Mich., to Jacob and Frances Gouza. He was the last North Western Railroad Agent in Eagle River and Land O’ Lakes. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Land O’ Lakes VFW and the Watersmeet American Legion. 

Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Gouza; and son, Daniel. He is survived by his daughter, Sue (Terry Carr) Gouza; sons, Peter (Denise) Gouza, of Lake Linden, Mich., and John (Amy Dallman) Gouza, of Wausau; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
