Sylvia Jezuit

ONTONAGON, Mich. — Sylvia Jezuit, 89, of Ontonagon (formerly of Ewen), passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1925, in Ramsay, to Thomas and Helen (Sallman) Anderson.

Sylvia was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing, visiting friends, coffee klatching and making all types of crafts.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Chuck (Debbie) Haataja, Nancy (Armas) Ojaniemi, Thomas Alden (Kristin) Haataja, Jerry Haataja, Pixie (Michael) Daggett, Kerry (Joseph) Cronkright and Lawrence Hash; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Jack Haataja, Elaine Hash and Robert Hash, Jr .; and brother, William (Betty) Anderson.

A memorial service for Sylvia will be held on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. EST at the Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing, with Pastor Ted Trudgeon officiating.
