PLYMOUTH, Minn - Stanley W. "Sonny" Borowiec, 62, of Plymouth, and a native of Ironwood, Mich., died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, in his home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Ironwood, son of the late Stanley Borowiec and Betty Pearson, and attended Luther L. Wright High School. He lived and worked in the Twin Cities area for the past 44 years and was a 36-year member of the MN-ND Bricklayers Local 1.
Sonny loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and golf. Spending time with family was the most important thing in his life.
Surviving are the love of his life, wife, Linda; son, Taylor; daughter, Emilie; two grandsons, Andreas and Sebastian; brother, Tom Borowiec; two sisters, Carol (Bob) Wilson and Mary (Kevin) Luoma; aunt, Julie Osborne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his faithful companions, his dogs Nikko and Zoey.
Services and cremation took place in Plymouth.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held locally at a later date.
