ASHLAND, Wis. — Scott Alan Olson, 44, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Golden Living Center, in Ashland.

He was born Nov. 1, 1970, in Ashland, the son of Reuben and Mary (Skenadore) Olson.

He worked as a cook at several local area businesses. Scott enjoyed putting models together, football and was an avid Minnesota Viking fan. He loved fishing and being in the outdoors.

He is survived by a son, Geofrey Ringsmuth; seven brothers, Paul (Carole) Olson, Reuben Olson, Tom (Deb) Olson, Pat (Jean) Olson, Mike (Lisa) Olson, Rodney Olson, and Bruce Olson; a sister, JoAnne (Jim) Olson; stepmother, Kathy Olson; special uncle, Mike Hobart; special friends, Tony Basley and Terry Ohlsson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Olson; mother, Mary Skenadore Stone; and a stepfather, George “Big G” Basley.

A funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Frost Home for Funerals, in Ashland, with Father Ed McKenzie officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, on Wednesday, at Frost Home for Funerals, in Ashland.
