Philip 'Phil' Evsich

DULUTH, Minn. — Philip “Phil” Evsich, 38, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth.

Phil was born April 6, 1976, in Ashland, Wis., to the late John and Dorothy “Dottie” Wisniewski Evsich.

He attended St. Sebastian School and graduated from A.D. Johnston (Bessemer) High School with the class of 1994.

After a short time working locally, he moved to Green Bay, Wis., and lived and worked there for a number of years, caring for the developmentally disabled. He moved back to Bessemer, Mich., and, after both parents passed away, moved to the Twin Cities, where he managed group homes until ill health put an end to his career. He then moved back to his hometown.

Phil is survived by two sisters, Laurie Evsich, Minneapolis, and Sheri (Kurt) Conrad, Marshfield, Wis., two brothers, John (Guy), Farmington, and Kevin, Bessemer; four nephews, J.P. (Cori) Pedrin, Minneapolis, Joe Evsich, Ironwood, Dustin and Kyle Evsich, Farmington; a niece, Jen (Pedrin) Corporaal and her children, Alyssa and Jeremiah Corporaal, Chandler, Ariz .; a very good friend, Mikhail (Kevin) Resler, Green Bay; and his best friend, his dog, Bella.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by infant twins, Joseph and Mary; a sister, Melissa “Missy”; nephew, Jeremy “J.R”; maternal grandmother, Nana; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is tentatively set for May 23, 2015.
