Eleanore Rose Aski

MERCER, Wis. - Eleanore Rose Aski, 87, of Mercer, formerly of West Allis, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, in her home in Mercer.

Eleanore was one of nine children born to William and Anna Becker on March 2, 1927, in West Allis.

She is survived by her dearly beloved husband, Joseph; much loved children, Linda (Jack) Arndt, Bill (Mary) Aski, Donna (Bill) Hodous and Janice Aski (Antony) Shuttleworth; her adored grandchildren, Gretchen, David, Stefanie, Marla, Mitch, Michael, Rebecca, Mark and Julian; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jayden and Ashlynn. Eleanore was greeted into eternity with joy by her angel granddaughter, Jessica.

Eleanore frequently spoke of her dear sisters and brothers, and is survived by sisters, Evelyn Buettner, Audrey Wright and Mary Ann Wren. She is now joined in Heaven with her sister, Caroline Steger, and her four brothers, Robert, George, Edward and Richard Becker.

She was steadfastly devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren, and throughout her life provided all with guidance, wisdom, love and support. Eleanore's memory remains in our hearts and the legacy of her love and care remain with us in her gifted seamstress talents, artistic paintings, Elly's egg ornaments, crafts and recipes, which will be passed on for generations.

Special thanks to Pat Bridges, Lisa Hansen and Katlynn Jones for their devoted care for Eleanore at home, and the Ministry Home Care Hospice team for their tender guidance and support as Eleanore completed her journey peacefully.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Mercer, with the Rev. Ronald Serrao, celebrant.

Luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
