FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE second-story flames at 206 Southwest St. in Ironwood on Sunday night. Neighbors said the fire started in the wood stove in the basement of the home. The homeowner knew something was wrong because she could smell smoke, the neighbors said. The woman and her two sons were able to exit the house safely.
