Thomas P. Dooley

GREENFIELD Wis. — Thomas Patrick Dooley, 80, was born to eternal life on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014.

He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Mary (née Tibaldo); loving father of Vanessa (Gary) Koppenhaver, Michael (Tonya) and Corbin (Dawn) Dooley; cherished grandfather of Megan and Lauryn Dooley; and dear brother-in-law of Albert (Jeanne) and Joseph (Dorothy) Tibaldo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; nephew, Brian Tibaldo; niece, Rosemary Cook; brothers-in-law, Orlando (the now late Arvesta), Johnny (the late Jean), Bruno Tibaldo. Niece, Kathy Tibaldo, passed away Dec. 31, 2014.

He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial and a military honors service were held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Milwaukee. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Born April 13, 1934, in Ironwood, Mich., Tom attended St. Ambrose Grade School and graduated in 1951 from Wakefield High School. After graduation, Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He then attended The University of Northern Michigan and graduated from Michigan Tech as a civil engineer.

Tom began his career with the U.S. Forest Service in 1964 in Michigan, transferred to Vermont, Calif., and eventually settled and retired in Wisconsin. He was a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Pere Marquette Council 524, a member of the Fourth Degree, Bishop Henni Assembly, former member of the Council and Assembly of the Ironwood Knights of Columbus, and also a member of the Catholic War Veterans. Tom enjoyed supporting his children’s and, later on in life, his grandchildren’s interests.
