Highly wanted man across many states arrest by area narcotics team

BESSEMER — The Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotics Team arrested a 30-year-old male in Bessemer on Friday evening at 11:45 on multiple warrants and local charges.

The subject was arrested on a felony warrant for the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department, a felony warrant from the state of Wisconsin, a felony warrant from the state of Minnesota and a warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals. The charges range from resisting and obstructing, dangerous drugs, selling heroin and parole violation.

The subject was jailed at the Gogebic County Jail on bonds ranging from $10,000 10 percent bond, to body only, according to a press release.

Additional charges may be issued in Gogebic County pending further information by the GIANT team, the release said.

GIANT was also assisted by the Gogebic-Iron SWAT team to gain entry, apprehend the suspect and detain additional individuals at the residence.
