Fredric N. Francis

ISHPEMING, Mich. — Fredric N. Francis, 78, of 201 Louis St., Bessemer, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming, where he had been a resident for the past two weeks.

Fredric was born July 29, 1936, in Gastonia, N.C., to the late Emmett and Marie (Plyler) Francis.

After graduating from high school, Fred attended Wake Forest University and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Fred moved to the Bessemer area in the mid-1970s, where he had resided ever since.

Fred is survived by his twin daughters, Sera (Michael) Baird, of Ishpeming, and Serena (Jeff) Peskie, of Houghton; his former wife, Eleanore Fiori, of Marquette; and a stepgrandson, Blake Peskie.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Marie Francis.

Honoring Fred’s wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held Sunday, May 24, 2015, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fred’s home, 201 Louis St., Bessemer.
