MONTAGUE, Mich. — Charlotte R. Grandahl, 79, of Montague, and formerly of Ironwood, passed way peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 22, 2015.
She was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Bessemer, to Carl and Glaydes (Osborne) Berg. She lived most of her life in Ironwood and came to Montague three years ago to be near her children and grandchildren. Charlotte was an insurance billing specialist for many years at Grandview Hospital in Ironwood before her retirement. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri Knight of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jyl (Robert) Kimball of Montague; her grandchildren, Tabitha Bledsoe, Tyler Wenzel, Brianna Wenzel, Kasey Kimball and Katie Kimball; great-grandchildren, Jaycie Rae Riley, Charlotte Wenzel and Sadie Riley; and her brothers, Gordon (Janet) Berg of Boston, and Douglas Berg of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Berg; and sister, Joan Sipponeon.
A private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. James Catholic Church and interment will be in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Montague.
