Marjorie Ann Warne-Dreher

GREENVILLE, Texas — Marjorie Ann Warne-Dreher, 90, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at the Legend Healthcare nursing home in Greenville after a long illness.

She was born in Madison, Wis., on April 27, 1924, as the fourth of six children of Ross and Hilda Warne of Madison. She completed high school in Madison, graduating in 1943.

After graduation, she married Richard Earl Dreher of Oregon, Wis., in Montomery, Ala.

Marjorie and Richard lived at Air Force bases in Illinois, California, Minnesota, North Carolina and South Carolina, and overseas in Japan and Greece. Richard retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1967, they returned to Duluth, Minn., and then moved to Ramsay, Mich. They remained in Ramsay for 30 years before moving to Texas in 2001.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Richard Jr., John and Suzanne; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ross and Evans.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Richard E. Dreher, USAF (ret) in 2004; her parents; brothers, Dale and Robert; and sister, Winifred.

A celebration of life will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral Home, 1150 Park St., Oregon, Wis., at 3 p.m., on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Inurnment will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m.
