Carol A. Lake

MARENISCO, Mich. - Carol A. Lake, 91, a longtime resident of Marenisco, passed away Thursday morning, June 25, 2015.

Carol was born on April 29, 1924, in Black River Falls, Wis., the daughter of Henry and Irma (Haralson) Dahl. She attended Marenisco High School and graduated in 1942.

On May 29, 1942, Carol was united in marriage to Harold E. Lake.

They made their home in Wakefield until moving to Lake Gogebic. Following her husband's passing, Carol moved to Marenisco.

Carol was a member of First Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and Messiah Lutheran Church.

Carol is survived by three daughters, Carol (Glen) Peterson, Lake Gogebic, Donna Lake, Wakefield, and Jeannine (Tim) MacLeod, Marenisco; two grandsons, John MacLeod and Jason (Stacey) MacLeod; a granddaughter, Lori Anne (Bill) Allard; seven great-grandchildren, Christian and Alyssa Babich, Rayden and Rowyn Allard, and Aydan, Kassidy and Taran MacLeod; three sisters-in-law, Corrine Lake, Doris Sauls and Freya Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold, on Aug. 6, 1985; and two brothers, Curt and Vern Dahl.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, at 2:30 p.m., preceded by visitation at 1:30 p.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Bill Jacobson officiating.

Committal service and interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.

Lunch will be served at the church fellowship hall.

The family wishes to thank everyone at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their kindness and loving care that was given to Carol during her stay there.
