Frank S. Prezkop

DULUTH, Minn. - Frank S. Prezkop, 54, of Hurley, Wis., died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

He was born May 29, 1961, in Ironwood, Mich., son of the late Frank P. and Lenore A. (Panizza) Prezkop, and graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley in 1979. He worked for a number of years as a mechanic at several auto repair shops both in and outside the area. He was employed as a mechanic and snow plow driver by the Iron County Highway Department for many years, owned and operated Frank's Bar in Gile for several years, briefly drove truck for Ross Peterson Construction Co. and worked at several other jobs in the area.

Frank was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling, and was well liked by all in the community. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his son, Cole, of Hurley; brother, Michael (Patricia), Bowling Green, Ohio; nephew, Douglas (Jennifer) Prezkop, Canal Winchester, Ohio; niece, Tanya Prezkop, Greenwood, S.C .; ex-wife, Dani Prezkop, Hurley; and fiancee, Betty Kertzman, Hurley.

Per Frank's wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 29, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church in Hurley, with the Rev. Frank Kordek OFM, celebrant.

Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hurley.

Luncheon will be served at the Bell Chalet in Hurley upon return from the cemetery.
