Muriel Constance Busch

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Muriel Constance Busch, born Sept. 10, 1922, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, in Wakefield.

Muriel was born to Earl and Astrid (Johnson) Sibley in Wakefield. She was united in marriage to Andrew Busch. Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Ray Sibley.

Muriel is survived by three children, Marion (Adolph) Roybal (Troupe), of Amity, Ore., Howard Busch, of Carney, and Janice (Joel) Massie, of Bessemer; two sisters, Betty Mae Perron, of Petersburg, and Janet Moilanen, of Bessemer; 10 grandchildren, Sharon Sanchez, Beth Allen, David Troupe, Christine Brandt, Tonya LaFave, Danielle Kirschner, Timothy Busch, and Jessica, Jordan and Justin Massie; 18 great-grandchildren; Clara (Johnson) Wiita, aunt, of Wakefield; Jim Johnson, uncle, of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

First and foremost in Muriel's life was her family. She was an incredible cook and seamstress, and did beautiful needlework of all kinds. A crowning achievement in her life was receiving her LPN license. She then thoroughly enjoyed her nursing career at the Divine Infant Hospital in Wakefield.

After retirement, she and Andrew cherished every minute of their time together at their cottage at Lake Gogebic, where they fished, fished and fished. And sometimes they just fished.

A memorial service conducted by Pastor Kurt Kovanen will be held at the Sharon Lutheran Church in Bessemer on Monday, Aug. 24. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow. Inurnment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.

Muriel's family would like to offer its sincere gratitude to the staff at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility who provided compassionate and kind care for our mother for the last 2½ years. No act of kindness went unnoticed. Thank you.
