GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - Debra Ann Buitendorp, 56, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 26, 2015, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1959, to Benjamin and Ardis (Johnson) Berno in Ironwood and moved to Grand Haven 33 years ago.

She worked as a manager at Wal-Mart, managed different temporary agencies, was a member of Robinson Baptist Church, and had volunteered with Hospice of North Ottawa. Spending time with her family was the most important part of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Byron; four children, Melanie (Tim) Cross, Stephanie (Kurt) Cross, Carl (Kasey) Davis Jr. and Harmonie Buitendorp; nine grandchildren, Calvin, Carter, Noah, Tiffinie, Destany, Dakota, Taylor, Samuel and baby Carl; her mother, Ardis Berno; brother, Benjamin (Anita) Berno; two sisters, Donna (Dennis) Bessa and Sherry Berno; her former husbands, Charles Cross and Carl Davis.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Robinson Baptist Church in Grand Haven, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m., also at the church.
