Beverly K. (Aijala) Berzinski

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Beverly K. (Aijala) Berzinski, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015.

She was born in Ironwood, Mich., on April 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Uno and Luella Aijala. She attended local schools and later attended Wayne State University, where she earned a nursing degree.

Beverly worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich., before moving to Green Bay.

Beverly was married to Walter Berzinski on June 23, 1956, and together they raised three sons. She later worked at Odd Fellows Nursing Home prior to her retirement. Beverly enjoyed golf, bowling and traveling with her husband.

Beverly is survived by her husband of over 59 years, Walter; her sons, Michael (Diane) Berzinski, of Manitowoc, Tom (Cathy Chevalier) Berzinski and Gerry Berzinski, all of Green Bay; and brother, Clayton (Betty) Aijala, of Ironwood.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.

Friends and relatives may call at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Green Bay on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.

Memorials are appreciated to a charity of one's choice.
