Carol Ann Durovsky

Marshfield, Wis. - Carol Ann Durovsky, age 65 of Ironwood, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wis. She was born September 24, 1949 in Alma, Mich., the daughter of Roland and Wilma (Fenskie) Clark.

Carol grew up in the Breckenridge, Mich. area and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1967. She married Philip Durovsky on August 7, 1971 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Merrill, Mich. Carol attended Cosmetology School in Midland, Mich. for a few years and Northwood Community College for one year. In 1983, she and Philip moved to Bessemer. Carol worked as a bookkeeper for various employers for over 30 years. She enjoyed many types of hand crafting, including embroidery work and sewing (she even made her own wedding dress). Carol loved spending time outdoors with her flower garden and camping with her family. She enjoyed baking and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Philip; her mother, Wilma Clark of Merrill, Mich .; her daughter, Robyn (Ryan) Niemi of Ironwood; her two grandchildren, Keira and Tadan Niemi of Ironwood; her two brothers, Russell Clark of Merrill, Mich. and Barry (Jeanne) Rhinehart of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her special dog, Rocky.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Roland Clark on Feb. 13, 1995 and her grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home in Bessemer with Fr. Rob Jurkovich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

The Range Funeral Service and Crematory and the Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home of Ironwood and Bessemer is assisting the family with arrangements.
