Diane K. Ruda

HURLEY, Wis. — Diane K. Ruda, 58, of Saxon, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, in Hurley.

She was born Nov. 27, 1956, in Ironwood, Mich., the daughter of James and Lily (Taylor) Youngs. Diane married Gary F. Ruda on May 23, 1992, in Hurley.

She graduated from Hurley High School class of 1974. She was a member of the Saxon Harbor Boating Club and was involved in many of their activites. She worked as a part-time bartender at the Harbor Lights on Friday nights and any time that she was needed. She had worked at Aspirus Grand View Caring Caregivers and for Avanti Home Care in Hurley as a scheduling coordinator from March 2011 until the present.

She dearly loved her granddaughters and just enjoyed being in her yard at home.

Survivors include her daughter, Nichole Carter (Jamie Ofstad); granddaughters, Breanna and Hope Adamavich, all of Saxon; her mother, Lily Youngs; two brothers, Jim (Kim) Youngs and Larry “Murph” (Ann) Youngs; two nephews, Cory and Beau Youngs, and niece, Chanel Youngs, all of Hurley.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2014 and her father in 2006.

A private graveside and inurnment will be in the Hurley Cemetery.

Range Funeral Service and Crematory, Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood is assisting the family.
