Elizabeth I. Zanutto

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Elizabeth I. Zanutto, 88, of Laurence Street, Montreal, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, in Ironwood, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Peter and Praxedis (Guzek) Bruzdzinski. Elizabeth attended Ironwood schools and graduated from the Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1944.

She was married to Lawrence A. Zanutto on June 19, 1948, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ironwood, he preceded her in death on May 31, 1984.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, Wis., and a former member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montreal. She was a member of the Altar Society at Sacred Heart and also a member of the VFW Post 1580 Auxiliary of Hurley. She loved knitting and working puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Larry (Betty) Zanutto, of Iron Belt, Wis., and Donald Zanutto, of Montreal; two daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Thiel, of Green Bay, Wis., and Roberta (John) Endrizzi, of Montreal; three grandchildren, Tammy (Glen) Polfuss, of Green Bay, Amy (Robbie) Simonar, of Montreal and Kristin (Scott) Czerneski of Kimball, Wis .; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Carter, Dustin, Melissa, Taylor, Devin and Juel. Also surviving is a brother, Walter Berzinski, of Green Bay; and sisters, Mary Ann Bowman, Clara Jordan and Cecelia Stanczak, all of Ironwood.

Besides her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara DeBauche and Gertrude Jacobsen.

A private family graveside service with Rite of Committal will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Hurley on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 9:30 a.m. Father Frank Kordek OFM will officiate.

Range Funeral Service and Crematory of Hurley and Ironwood has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
