Ironwood - The Wesley United Methodist Church annual Holiday Fest on Saturday included many members of the community and church at an event that included handmade crafts, baked goods, white elephant items, dessert and coffee.

The event was conducted by the United Methodist Women and proceeds from the sales go to the various missions the church supports.

President of the United Methodist Women Marilyn Soyka said the church women have been putting the event on for many years and that the turnout has always been great. "This year isn't as good because of the weather," Soyka said, hopeful more people would arrive.

Tables lined with crafts, desserts and baked goods were run by volunteers, as well as members of the church and the United Methodist Women. Soyka said the event was welcome to everyone and draws in everyone from all ages from the church and from around the area, as well.
