Virginia Lou 'Ginny' (Minier) Patterson

DE PERE, Wis. - Virginia Lou "Ginny" (Minier) Patterson, 61, of De Pere, formerly of Wakefield, Mich., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at her home.

Ginny was born on Aug. 13, 1954, in Wakefield, a daughter of Jerome and Nettie (Manchester) Minier. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1972. Ginny continued her education at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, Mich., and Bay De Noc Community College in Escanaba, Mich., where she received a business degree.

In 1983, Ginny was united in marriage to Mike Patterson.

She will always be remembered as a special lady.

Ginny leaves behind to cherish her memory nine sisters and three brothers, Grace (Walt) Maki, Loretta (Chester) Raymond, Lydia Johnson, Margie Zwick, Raymond (Pat) Minier, Francis "Peco" (Crystal) Minier, Mike Minier, Pam (Russ) Havenor, Paulette (Dennis) Baldwin, Cindy (John) Laakonen, Mona (Don) Guglielmotto and Doris (Paul) Walter; her brother-in-law, Frank Raymond; her sister-in-law, Barb Minier; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends, including her special friend and caregiver, Jennifer Wickoren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike, in 1995; a sister, Ruth Raymond; and a brother, Robert Minier.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Wesley United Methodist Church, 500 E. McLeod Ave., in Ironwood. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Rosemary DeHut officiating.

Committal services and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
