Carol 'Becci' English

HURLEY, Wis. - Carol "Becci" English, 77, died peacefully on Dec. 28, 2015, after battling cancer for three and one-half years.

She was surrounded by devoted family and friends during this challenging time, including through her final days.

She was born Carol Jeanne Bria in Hurley, graduated high school in Rice Lake, attended Northland College in Ashland, lived and work most of her life in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and ultimately retired to Hurley in 1991. She had amazing neighbors and a very close group of friends who were steadfastly by her side.

She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being a "snowbird" in Florida for many years.

Becci's faith got her through many trials and tribulations in her life and especially helped guide her through her illness the past few years.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lorilee Fillion; and loving brother, James Bria Jr. and family.

Becci was a current member of the Episcopal Church in Ironwood, Mich.

She wished to be cremated and a private celebration of life will be held at a future date. Her family asks that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society and that sympathy wishes be posted to rangefuneralservices.com.

"...And when one of us is gone, and one of us is left to carry on, then remembering will have to do; our memories alone will get us through, think about the days of me and you, you and me against the world..."
