Porkies host snowburst celebration

SILVER CITY — Snowburst will be celebrated at the Porcupine Mountain Ski Hill Saturday, February 20.

A full day of activities has been slated, including races, food and fireworks.

While a giant slalom race will challenge skiers, there will also be plenty for non skiers as well. The day will include children’s games, horse-drawn sleigh rides, a trivia snowshoe hike and a guided snowshoe hike.

There will also be a pasta dinner and live music. At dark, fireworks will put an exclamation mark on the day’s festivities.

The activity is being supported with raffles and donations.

The event will also be on the agenda of the next Ontonagon County Economic Partnership meeting February, 3.
