Ironwood - The Historic Ironwood Theatre is presenting a Big HIT Wine and Beer Fest on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Ironwood Memorial Building.

The public is invited to dress up and bring friends along to the new event at 7 p.m. for an evening of craft beers, fine wines and and gourmet hors d'oeuvres.

Bruce Greenhill, HIT managing director, said the event combines the popular holiday auction and WineFest.

Greenhill said people can bid on an "exciting" array of silent auction items, including fine wines, a flat-screen television, gift certificates, gourmet food baskets, golf packages and weekend getaways.

There will also be a raffle and door prizes.

All proceeds benefit the Historic Ironwood Theatre.

At the end of the evening, Greenhill said people can go home with a warm inner glow, knowing they contributed to the theater.

Tickets can be purchased at the HIT box office, open Wednesdays through Fridays from noon until 4:30 p.m., at ZPlace Gallery and Gifts, at the Leather and Gift Shop in Bessemer or online at ironwoodtheatre.net.
