Mary Therese (Corbeil) Gilmer

ONTONAGON, Mich. - Mary Therese (Corbeil) Gilmer, 64, of Ontonagon, passed away on Feb. 18, 2016, in Ontonagon.

She was born Jan. 10, 1952, in Ontonagon to Roy and Theresa (Ross) Corbeil. She graduated from Ontonagon Area High School with the class of 1970 and married Robert F. Gilmer, of Bergland. She was an EMT in Bergland for 15 years and has worked at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for 30 years. Mary loved to bake and cook for family and friends. Going to the casino was another fun adventure she enjoyed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, LeRoy; and sister, Yvonne (Lambie) Jolliff.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Christopher (Heather Flynn) Gilmer, of Austin, Minn., and James (Kim Guzek) Gilmer, of Howell; and four fabulous grandkids, Cole and Mackenzie Gilmer, and Payton and Jessica Gilmer.

Funeral services for Mary will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at 4 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontonagon. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
