Anna Mae (Miskovich) Richards

LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. - Anna Mae (Miskovich) Richards, 78, a long-time resident of Lake Gogebic, passed away peacefully Monday morning, March 21, 2016, surrounded by loved ones.

Anna Mae was born on Nov. 8, 1937, in Wakefield, a daughter of Steve and Mary Ann (Grivicich) Miskovich. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1956.

On Jan. 12, 1957, Anna Mae was united in marriage to William Marshall "Bill" Richards at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield, by the Rev. Charles Daniel.

Anna Mae is survived by six sisters, Marge (Joseph) Jurasin, Bessemer, Mary (Gordon) Erickson, Ironwood, Lucille (David) Zazeski, Ramsay, Gail (Daniel) Gerovac, Waterloo, Ill., Janice Miskovich, Gile, Wis., and Cindy (Peter) Palm, Ironwood; two brothers, Kelly (Mary) Miskovich and Joseph Miskovich, both of Wakefield; two aunts, Marcella Miskovich and Kay Sibley, both of Wakefield; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, on Dec. 31, 2011; her son, William S., on March 12, 2001; three brothers, Robert, George and Steve Miskovich; and a sister, Clara Johnson.

A celebration of Anna Mae's life will be held at a later date.
