Adelaide Marie Rainaldo

HURLEY, Wis. — Adelaide Marie Rainaldo, 91, of Hurley, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley.

She was born April 10, 1924, in Hurley, the daughter of the late Anton and Ann (Taglienti) Rainaldo. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942. She then completed her nurse’s training at St. Mary’s in Rochester, Minn., becoming a registered nurse, and began working in the polio ward in Rochester from 1942-1946. Leaving Rochester, she assisted her brother, the late Dr. Carl Rainaldo, in his dental practice for 49 years in Hurley and Mercer. An avid hunter, she enjoyed the Wisconsin outdoors with her father and brother.

Surviving are her niece, Carla Pogliano; great-nephew, Christopher Pogliano; and great-niece, Elena Pogliano, all of Minneapolis; and numerous cousins.

Addie was known to the Range community as a gentle, kind and loving lady who cared about her patients at the Rainaldo Dental Office.

Out of respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Private family graveside services and interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hurley.
