Regina Ann 'Tootsie' Juntilla

ARTESIAN, N.M. - Regina Ann "Tootsie" Juntilla, loving wife, caring mother and friend to all, passed away July 24, 2016, surrounded by her family, to be with her Lord and Saviour.

She was born May 3, 1934, at the family homestead in Gile, Wis., to Joseph and Adela Machesky. She was one of eight children, including her brothers, Johnny, Red (Aloysius), Larry, Eddie and David, and sisters, Nada and Dorothy.

She married Murdock (Murdy) B. Juntilla on April 24, 1954, and they were happily and joyfully married for 62 years. They have three sons, Wally, of Colorado; Teddy, of Colorado, and Joey, of New Mexico; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was the quintessential wife, mother, friend, homemaker, pep talker, encourager, disciplinarian and all around greatest woman who knew almost every Polish joke known to mankind. Her infectious laugh and smile will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions can be made to Gentiva Hospice, 400 North Pennsylvania Ave., Ste 500, Roswell, New Mexico, 88201, who were absolute angels in disguise in this sad time.
