John 'Jack' B. Adler

MERCER, Wis. - John "Jack" B. Adler passed away Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016.

He is survived by his son, Mike; grandson, Cordel; sisters, Carol and Nancy; and brother, Tom.

Jack graduated from West High School in Madison. He served in the military and worked for the city of Madison for 37 years before retiring to his cabin on the Flambeau Flowage in Mercer in 1992. Later, he purchased a cabin next to his for all of his many friends and family to come and visit. Jack spent many years hunting the woods and fishing the waters in the Mercer area.

For more than 50 years, Jack went to the hunting camp near Ashland with his buddies over the nine-day gun hunting season. Jack was a life-long, working Lions Club member. He also ran many golf outings at Tahoe Links Golf Course. He helped out at the numerous area snowmobile feeds and was head of security at the Mercer Loons Motorcycle Loon Party.

Jack was a very generous person, with friends of all ages. He will be remembered by all.

There will be a gathering of his many friends at Dear Lodge, 4816 County FF, with refreshments and food for all on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 2 p.m to 2 a.m.
