Carli pleads not guilty to Bear Trap fire coverup

HURLEY - A Saxon, Wis., woman entered a not guilty plea Monday to aiding a felon by being a party to a crime in connection with the March 12 Bear Trap Inn fire.

Jessica Carli, 41, appeared with her attorney, Craig Haukaas, who waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Judge Patrick Madden.

Carli told the judge she was freely agreeing to be bound over to stand trial and no promises had been made to her.

Madden gave Haukaas 30 days to file motions in the case.
