IRONWOOD, Mich. - Andrea Jeanne Engle, 45, of Ironwood, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, after a long and fearless fight with ovarian cancer. She was cared for and surrounded by her loving family.

Andrea was born on Sunday, June 13, 1971, to Deborah "Debbie" Marie Kimball at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill. She spent her childhood and early adult years in the greater Chicagoland area. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan, loved music, cooking, animals and all things literature. During her free time, she could be found enjoying all of the above and planning her next travel adventure.

Andrea began her professional career in the financial services sector, being employed by UBS PaineWebber. In 2007, she relocated to Ironwood to be closer to her mom and family. She continued her career in financial services, joining the firm of Edward Jones, where she was the branch office administrator.

Andrea had a great love of family and friends, and enjoyed life to the fullest each and every day. She truly cared about people and had a way of making everyone feel special.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Debbie and Dan Smith, of Ironwood; her sister and best friend, Daniele (Brian) Fracasse, of Phoenix; her baby brother, who she greatly admired, Richard Bowles, of Minneapolis; her father, Terry (Arlene) Engle, of Phoenix; stepfather, Todd (Julia) Bowles and their children, Hanna and Jack, of Iron Mountain; step-brother, Chris (Coreen) Smith, of Woodbury, Minn .; stepsister, Rebecca (Victor) Coker, of Oakland, Calif .; her aunts and uncles, Patricia (James) Relich, Lynn (Dick) Thompson, Godmother Karen (Jeff) Begalle, Mary Anne Guzek-Kimball, Kurt (Rose) Engle, Lance Engle, Pete (Jan) Engle; her great-aunt, Bette Colasacco; numerous supportive and loving cousins; her boyfriend, Mark MacKenzie; many great friends, including her life-time friend, Heather Peet; and Goddaughters/nieces, Gioavanna and Adriana Fracasse, who were the absolute joys of her life.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ben and Erma Kimball; and her uncle/ Godfather, Bob Kimball.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood. Father Robb Jurkovich will be the celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the mass at the church on Saturday. Spring inurnment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
