Vernon T. Kaminski

MERCER, Wis. - Vernon T. Kaminski, 78, of Mercer, died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.

Vern was born on Aug. 11, 1938, in Manitowoc, the son of Theodore and Marjorie (nee Schisel) Kaminski. Vern proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He married Judith Lallensack on Sept. 23, 1967, in Manitowoc and worked as a die cutter for Longview Fibre Company in Milwaukee. He was an active member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Mercer.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Mercer; two sons, Craig (Sara), of Oshkosh, and Kevin, of Hartland; two granddaughters, Anna and Megan; and by his sister, Kay Petersohn, of Manitowoc. He is further survived by his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Jean Lallensack, of Las Vegas, Al (Carol) Lallensac,k of Manitowoc, Betty (Fred) Draxton, of Cottage Grove, Minn., Barb (Dick) Schuh, of Maple Grove, Minn., and Mark (Judy) Lallensack, of Green Bay; and by many nieces and nephews.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marjorie Kaminski; his father- and mother-in-law, William and Lorraine Lallensack; brother-in-law, Gerald Petersohn; and by his niece, Jolene Draxton.

Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m., at St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church in Mercer with a visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Isaac Jogues Church or American Cancer Society.
